Elastic fabrics are trendy. They are comfortable, shape and tear resistant. To create jersey and other outfits that fit perfectly, elastic seams are needed. The Maraflex quality thread is now available for this purpose. It provides more stretch – and the clothing allows for every movement.

Maraflex is the elastic sewing thread for household sewing machines. It transforms stretch seams into a straight stitch look with ease – without an overlock or coverlock sewing machine.

With an extensibility of up to 80 percent, this seam is particularly flexible. It is perfect for sewing light to medium weight knitwear and stretch fabrics, such as jersey or fabrics with elastane.

Maraflex is always used in combination as needle and bobbin thread and sewn with a low thread tension. This gives the seam the space to expand optimally later. The best seam elasticity is achieved with four stitches per centimeter.

Whether with a round neckline, attached seams or cuffs on the legs and sleeves – Maraflex makes clothing flexible. It goes great with hoodies, jogging bottoms and children's pants. Turning over and seaming is no longer necessary for non-fraying fabrics: simply trim the extra seam flat – and you're done.

Like most high-quality sewing threads from Gütermann creativ, Maraflex is also produced with Micro Core Technology®. MCT® is a unique production process in which a polyester core thread is wrapped in a microfilament polyester – Made in Germany. This production method makes Maraflex a particularly high-quality sewing thread.
